Prior to starting my blog, I would wake up each morning and check my email for updates from any blogs I was following and drool over the amazing content they were posting.  It all looked so effortless.  Write, post, share, repeat.  I jumped in head first only to find out blogging was ANYTHING, but easy.  Deciding on outfits to shoot, scouting locations, gathering relevant content, scheduling your post and sharing to all your social media accounts, blogging can easily become overwhelming.  I quickly realized I had bitten off a bit more than I was willing to chew. Sigh.  One day during a webinar, I was introduced to CoSchedule, an incredibly SEXY online editorial calendar….my lifesaver!

An editorial calendar is used by bloggers and corporations of all sizes to promote creativity and consistency.  Two things I was in desperate need of.

I immediately took advantage of CoSchedule’s 14-day free trial from CoSchedule.com. (Note: this is an affiliate link.)

I watched all of the training videos and immediately got started.  I found that CoSchedule allowed me to plan, create and promote my blog content all in one place!  I could also create a social media and publication strategy to maximize the effectiveness of my blog and online boutique.  I was too excited.  I could actually plan my content, write my posts, and promote on business on social media from one application.  Here’s a quick video to give you an overview.

While there are several online editorial calendars, one of the most appealing features of CoSchedule was it’s integration with WordPress.  While you can use CoSchedule as a stand alone editorial calendar, they have a plug in that seamlessly integrates with WordPress.  After I have created my blog post, I can immediately schedule my post using an posting schedule best suited to my audience.  It also integrates with Evernote, Bit.ly, and Google Calendar.  FABULOUSNESS!  I haven’t been blogging long, so I’ve snagged some example photos for use in this post.  Here’s an example of it’s integration with WordPress.

Let’s chat about some more sexy parts of CoSchedule.  I’m constantly coming up with new outfit and other content post ideas.  Another awesome feature is the drag and drop feature.  I like to create various posts and then tinker around with the days I am going to share the posts.  Any unpublished posts appear in the sidebar.  It’s also a great way to grab content when you are running low on posts to publish.  My sidebar is already getting pretty full!

Earlier, I mentioned the ability to promote and schedule your content from one place.  Not only can you promote your blog content, you can plan and post ANY content!  All you have to do is SET IT AND FORGET IT!!!  This is priceless if you run a business in addition to running your blog like I do.

CoSchedule took things one step further by providing feedback on how your TOP POSTS are doing on each of the social media accounts you have connected. This provides great insight on posts you should re-share to boost your onine presence and provide more value to your readers.  SEXINESS!

I use the Solo Standard Plan and I’m over the moon, but they also offer a Solo Marketing Plan and Solo Automation plan that are jammed packed with additional features.  There are also plans for teams, small or large.

With CoSchedule, you can….
